When I get the phone call or email about setting up a session for a high school boy I admit I get a little nervous. You see girls are a breeze. I raised 2 girls who were made for the camera. Girls just seem to be more relaxed and good with being asked to pose hanging from a tree, jumping off a big rock, rolling around in a mud hole... but boys are a different story altogether. Most of them are not interested documenting their senior year and would rather be doing anything but sitting in front of my camera. However, Mom has called and it must be done. She has raised the boy, fed the boy, clothed the boy, and accepted that he is never going to enjoy matching outfits and shopping for an outfit.
So Yesterday I met Nathan and Mom and Dad for his photo shoot out at Camp Helen. Oh, and the dog, St. Louis.... and we had already talked about some ideas to start with. Nathan was cool, he is a drummer (which makes him super cool to me). He is also home schooled and is taking classes at GCC... (calculus?) I can barely add numbers together! We also played with the dog a bit. Mom and Dad stayed out of our business and trusted the process.
These are some of my favorites. Look out ladies.... He's about to be a full time college man!
